The 5 Most Popular Blog Posts by Get Organised & Beyond

by 1 January 2023 Nathalie Ricaud Leave a Comment

When I started my blog in December 2014, I had no idea where my writing would take me.  In fact, English not being my mother tongue, I was quite apprehensive about whether I’d ever get a readership.

But I kept going nevertheless and, eight years down the road, I’m proud to report that I’ve been writing one blog post per month without fail since then. And “just like that”, in December 2022, I published my 100th blog post!

Oh, I’d lie if I were to say I have a huge readership.  But the feedback I receive from some of my readers on how a post has inspired them to tackle their clutter or look at their stuff in a way they’d never appreciated before is enough to keep me going. I feel rewarded by the knowledge that my blog posts have changed some people’s lives.

To mark the occasion of my 100th blog post, I thought I’d check which are the five blog posts that have generated the most interest over the last five years.

Popular blog posts about decluttering, organising and life management

Here are Get Organised & Beyond’s 5 most popular blog posts.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.

#3 | Organising After A Loved One’s Death

This blog post was written just 3 weeks after my mother passed, in April 2022.  I had “kept it all together” since then while I was busy taking care of all that needed to be done during such times, but in the aftermath of it, I felt very vulnerable and compelled to write about it.  My blog was a perfect avenue for me to process what had just happened without getting too emotional about it.

I hope this blog will help people confronted with the passing of a loved one move forward at least from an organising standpoint.  Read the blog post.

#4 | To KonMari, Or Not To KonMari, That Is The Question

In this blog post, I throw four simple questions to my readers to help them decide whether the KonMari method is for them.  Because against popular belief, the KonMari method is not for everyone.  I also offer alternatives to it.

With all the craze that surrounded Marie Kondo’s Netflix series at the beginning of 2019, this blog post was an instant hit.  Read the blog post.

#5 | How Going On A Shopping Diet Changed My Life

In this blog post, I relate the clothes and accessories shopping diet I put myself through in 2015.  The account of my experiment, which turned out to last for over 14 months, is always received with a mixture of incredibility, curiosity, and fascination.

And it has also inspired many of my followers to give it a try.  Would you?  Read the blog post.
